Credibility

The Calvert Chamber of Commerce provides its members with credibility synonymous with a 'good housekeeping seal of approval'.

79 YEARS OF SERVICE - When you join the Chamber of Commerce, you align your company with an organization which has been in business since 1929.

Referrals

Direct referral and information to your customers. Individuals and business representatives call or come to the Chamber office BECAUSE WE ARE THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and represent the business community. We promote you (in person or on the phone or by internet) to people who have requested specific information.

Literature

Literature and brochure distribution and information, in person or by mail or by internet, The Chamber is a distribution center for various tourism brochures, maps, etc.

The Chamber provides you with the chance to impact the quality of life in Calvert while also affording you the opportunity to network with fellow members on various committees.

Being in the Know

Members will be kept informed about upcoming events and meetings in Calvert through e-mails, faxes, and phone calls. We will also pass on to our members through email and fax appropriate news and events about your business as a service to you.

Member’s Advantage

All requests concerning business services in Calvert will be referred to member businesses. Some requests we receive regularly concern relocation, vacation, interesting things to do, business referrals and event planning. The Chamber can also supply your business with names and addresses of individuals requesting information so you can contact them before they arrive in Calvert.

You are entitled to a listing on our Internet Web Site, www.calverttx.com., which provides a professional Internet presence for our members. Users of the page can link to Chamber members who have web sites of their own.

Action Calls / Flashes

Mailings are made to the membership when immediate action is needed by our elected officials on legislation that impacts the business community's specific interests.

The Outside Looking In

The Chamber has a recognized presence on the internet with the number of visitors to the web site growing each year. We are ever improving our web page and it will be updated as often as daily, when needed. Your business will be listed by service category with your requested links. The Chamber web site will also be accessible from links off of other local and state sites.

We Work Hard For You

In addition to the Chamber and it’s Board of Directors, there are many committees working for you! Chamber members are encouraged to attend meetings or volunteer for committee membership. These committees deal with: -Economic Development and Community Planning --Festivals and Social Activities - Business Recognition and Ribbon Cuttings -Travel, Tourism , Advertising and Marketing -Salute to Business and Citizen Recognition -Membership and Event Planning -Governmental Liaison and Public Relations -Chamber Web site and Information Dispersal

Committees

Through a number of different voluntary committees, you can work cooperatively with your fellow members to "make a contribution to your community." In addition, you'll have a chance to develop relationships with other business people who have similar concerns and are actively working to address them. Each committee is comprised of Chamber members volunteering their time and effort on behalf of the Chamber, promoting the interests of the business community, and ultimately showcasing their own talents.

Victorian Gala & Tea

Ladies and gents dress in Victorian fine.  Victorian quartet music lingers in the evening air.  Couples waltz under the stars. Authentic Victorian fare is enjoyed by all,   We greet old acquaintances and meet new friends. Proceeds go to local charities and events.

Christmas Home Tour

With Texas’ third largest historic district, Calvert’s annual Christmas Home Tour brings hundreds of visitors to our community to view these wonderful homes and to visit our businesses.

Chamber to Chamber Communications

The Chamber maintains a relationship with other chambers; should you need information regarding a business located in another state, we can assist you through the chamber in that location.

Our Logo is Your Logo

Chamber members are given camera ready artwork of the Chamber logo to be used in all of their advertising, including phone directory. This logo, featured in your advertisement and on your company's letterhead, gives the firm additional credibility.
