The Glover Family will host two rodeos in 2008.  The first being in Madisonville in May.  The second being in Hearne on September 20, 2008.

The 27th Annual Glover Family Rodeo comes back to Hearne on Saturday, September 20.  This much anticipated event is sponsored by Melvin Glover & his family at the Robertson County Fairgrounds covered arena on FM 485 one mile west of TX6/US79 north of Hearne.  This year’s rodeo features $2,500 added money for all major events.

Rodeo participants & observers will start arriving for this fun-filled weekend on Friday & will start leaving on Sunday.  Several thousand people (many from Robertson & neighboring counties) are expected to attend this year’s rodeo.  Expect to see streets, motels, restaurants, & stores packed with people all weekend long!

The Glover Rodeo Parade starts at 11:30 AM at Bobby’s Place on Alamo Street & makes its way through downtown Hearne.  All riding clubs are invited to participate.  If you or your children love to watch riders & their horses, downtown Hearne is the place to be shortly before noon on Saturday morning.

About the same time the parade is getting started, Junior Breakaway & Old Timers Roping Breakaway will be taking place out at the fairgrounds.  An added attraction will be Junior Bull Riding.  Coggin papers are required.  Slack will be held after the rodeo.

Saturday’s Grand Entry will take place at 7:30 PM.  Showtime is at 7:45 PM.

Admission is $12 for adults & $7 for children.  Plenty of food & drinks will be available for purchase.
