If you are hoping to schedule a more airy event, the Hearne Municipal Airport may be the logical spot to schedule your next fly-in, hang-gliding competition, model airplane event, hot air balloon show, air show, rocket launching or other aeronautical event. The wide expanses of pavement at Hearne Municipal Airport are also ideal for soap-box derby races and similar land-based events. On a less grandiose scale, if you crave an intimate spot to host a swimming party, family gathering, high school reunion, wedding reception, bridal shower, baby shower, bachelor party, business function, dinner, Christmas party, birthday party, anniversary party, retirement party, wake, or other special event, Hearne offers a variety of public and private venues that are available for rent.

Robertson County Fairgrounds

The Robertson County Fairgrounds in Hearne hosts the annual Crossroads of Texas Music Festival, Glover's Rodeo, Robertson County Fair, and other events. The fairgrounds, which are west of Hearne on the highway going to Cameron, are close to the Camp Hearne site and the Hearne Municipal Airport entrance. Operated by the Robertson County Fair Association, these covered fairgrounds with restroom and vending facilities are available for rental year-round. Municipal Airport

Hang gliding, rocket launching, model jet, and other aeronautical clubs routinely rent a portion of the Hearne Municipal Airport. To reserve the airport for your event, call 979.279.3461.

Swimming Pool

In Eastside Park, this vintage swimming pool features a bathhouse built of native stone by the Works Projects Administration. Open during the summer months, swimming lessons are offered by certified lifeguards. Cautious parents can keep an eye on their children at poolside or through a chain link fence from the parking lot. Clubhouse

The Clubhouse in Eastside Park is a lovely building built of native stone by the Works Projects Administration. It is a wonderful setting for high school reunions, family gatherings, annual dinners, parties, weddings, receptions, business meetings, and other events. The Clubhouse has a full kitchen, a small stage, men's and women's bathroom facilities. To rent, call 979.279.3461.

Pavilion

Pavilion

Teal
Center

Fairman's Hall Fairman's Hall is located near the Robertson County Fairgrounds on the road heading towards Cameron from Hearne. It includes a dance hall with stage, bar, large kitchen, and restrooms. V. F. W. The Veterans of Foreign Wars facility is outside of Hearne on TX Hwy 6 heading towards Bryan. It consists of a dance hall complete with a large bar, stage, kitchen, and restrooms. The VFW has a bar that's open to the public, an outdoor pavilion, and a large baseball practice field that is mowed and used during baseball season. Horseshoe Club The Horseshoe Club is outside of Hearne on TX Hwy 6 heading towards Bryan. It consists of a dance hall complete with a large bar, stage, and restrooms.
