The American Society for Training and Development is a non-profit educational society for workplace learning and performance professionals. Founded in 1944, ASTD now includes more than 70,000 members in 100 countries across the world.

BVASTD received a charter as a chapter of ASTD in 1991 and is now one of eleven chapters in the great state of Texas. Membership consists of private and public sector professionals in Human Resource Development. Membership includes trainers, training directors, training managers, consultants, as well as university faculty and students. BVASTD has become a noted resource for networking, learning, and skill-building events for HRD professionals.

Whether you are a self-employed trainer or the Director of Human Resources for a multi-national corporation, we are here for you. Network with other top professionals in your field and get an insight into what other companies are doing when you attend our monthly luncheons and other social events.
