Here are a few mental pictures for Hypertext Markup Language or HTML.
HTML is different than simple ASCII or text presentation in the same way
that modern newspapers are different from newspapers of the early
1900's. Now it's easier to see where the boundaries for the articles are.
HTML is as easy to use as the reveal codes window
in WordPerfect for DOS and might be easier!
Getting accustomed to the benefits of information presented in HTML
and the way that it simplifies the arrangement
of knowledge may be like seeing a
stereogram picture - about 175 K that at first doesn't seem to mean
anything. Then a picture appears. (Note - to see the object within the
picture, try to unfocus your gaze and look beyond the graphic. It
might take a minute or two for your eyes to adjust.)
