Training in network and computer
useI am willing to work as a trainer and helper in computer use, networking or programming.
Divisions have been created in society by the technical requirements of computer use. Previously, general knowledge was directly related to mastery of a subject; now knowledge is often presented with enhancements due to computer tools. In some fields, a lack of computer expertise may be difficult to overcome. To keep perspective, there must still be room for someone like Einstein who followed a sequence of thoughts that no computer program had been written for. Some people who established their careers before the early 1980's and even before 1990 now find a new world in terms of networking and computers. I'm not surprised if it is intimidating, though it doesn't have to be. I was tempted to be frustrated and had many questions when I began to increase my use computers in 1990 and 1991.
As I think about my comment now, over a year after writing it, I don't remember being frustrated. There certainly were times when I did not know how to do things, and there were hundreds and eventually thousands of hours given to finding out how. Yet it was work that gave me joy as I waited on other things, and it was an opportunity to build conceptual things. I did not know how pleasing the process of learning and building could be.
I'm not a computer expert; however, if anyone would like a tutor who remembers what it was like for ftp, telnet, email addresses, programming, Windows, and database design to be foreign terms, you can call me!
Here are some training topics for consideration with subjective ratings of 1 to 10 for my knowledge of the topic.
The offer of tutoring is outside of my work hours, so I will not be able to use work time for tutoring projects. My fee is $10.00/hr.
