1996 Big Game Banquet Rifle
Winchester Model 1895 High Grade
Finally, after one hundred years, the model 1895 is back ... with the Winchester trademark on the barrel. The folks at Winchester have graciously agreed to produce a specially enhanced 1895 High Grade for the Elk Foundation's 1996 banquet program. After more than one year in development, this project will result in perhaps the most collectible banquet rifle RMEF has had to date. The receiver of this fine firearm is richly decorated with artwork designed by Bill Gamradt, who has produced artwork for many RMEF limited editions. The right receiver shows two scenes portraying the World Record typical bull elk and a majestic elk herd in a meadow. The opposite side highlights a ponrait of Teddy Roosevelt, a pack string and a finely detailed mountain scene. On
both sides, the images and borders are accented with gold and the entire magazine and lever are embellished with detailed scrollwork. The nickel-finished receiver is embellished with a deep acid etching and 24k selective gold plating. The stock has a beautiful gloss finish, with the gold trigger offering a final accent. The new Winchester Model 1895 High Grade is a remarkable chance to own a milestone-setting rifle.
This is the rifle Teddy Roosevelt called his 'Big Medicine". With its quick handling characteristics, box magazine and pointed bullet capacity, the Model 1895 changed the world of sporting rifles forever. Serial numbered, limited edition of 350.
