Buses

Two northbound and two southbound Greyhound buses a day service routes between Houston and Dallas. These routes include stops in Calvert and Hearne. Each trip takes roughly three hours. Greyhound bus service is also available to and from Austin (with transfers in Waco) for trips of about four hours. Arrow Trailways has a scheduled route between Houston and Dallas that includes a stop in Hearne.

Trains

There is no Amtrak or other passenger train service to or from Robertson County. The closest Amtrak stations are: Temple (TPL) -- 60 miles, McGregor (MCG) -- 70 miles, Taylor (TAY) -- 75 miles, Austin (AUS) -- 100 miles, Dallas (DAL) -- 150 miles. These stations are on Amtrak's Texas Eagle Route which offers daily service between San Antonio, TX and Chicago, IL. Another nearby Texas station, Houston (HUS) -- 130 miles, is on Amtrak's Sunset Limited Route which runs three eastbound and three westbound trains a week between Orlando, FL and Los Angeles, CA.
