Size: 9,460 acres
Age: Impounded in 1977

Location: Lies on the Big Cypress River off Farm Road 127 in Titus and Camp counties, south of Mt. Pleasant.

Description: This is classic east Texas fishing water, clear but stained with ample vegetation and standing timber surrounded by pines and native hardwoods.

Controlling Authority: Titus County Freshwater District Number One.

Fishing Regulations: Same as statewide.

Comments: Though some neighboring reservoirs get more publicity, this is one of the most underrated bass fisheries in Texas. Lake Records:

Fishing Tips: For black bass, work the flooded grass beds with spinnerbaits or plastic worms and jigs. Chartreuse and purple are the most popular lure colors for worms and grubs.
