Location: Lies on Cedar Creek 55 miles southeast of Dallas off U.S. Highway 175 in Kaufman and
Henderson counties.
Description: This lake is heavily developed by homes and other private interests who have come
to enjoy the peaceful setting. Maximum depth is 53 feet, and the water is fairly turbid. Most
of the aquatic vegetation that flourished in the 70's and 80's is now gone.

Stocking History:
Comments: In spite of losing its shoreline vegetation, the lake continues to produce largemouth
bass in abundance. It also has a popular fishery for white bass and hybrid stripers, as well as
crappie. Some aquatic vegetation has sprung up after it disappeared in the late-1980's.

Fishing Tips: Much of the shallow grass is gone, so anglers find black bass in the shade of
private boat docks. Try black or purple jigs and plastic worms in two to eight feet of water
for bass up to eight pounds.

Facilities: Public recreation facilities are limited, but private camps and boat ramps abound.
Shoreline fishing is by fee only, except under public road bridges.
