Stocking History:
Comments: Over time, this has been one of the most controversial lakes in Texas. It was once
choked with hydrilla, an equatic plant that restricts access, and over the objections of Texas
Parks and Wildlife fisheries analysts, grass carp were introduced. This species removed the
hydrilla problem but in so doing, also ruined habitat for game fish. Since then, concerned
citizens have been trying to re-establish fish habitat.
