Lake Georgetown

Size: 1,310acres
Age: Impounded October 5, 1979

Location: Lies on the North San Gabriel River, just west of Georgetown off Farm Road 2338 in Williamson County.

Description: This lake was built for flood control and municipal water supply. Shoreline areas are made up of steep hills and rocky terrain. Water generally is quite clear with a maximum depth of 70 feet.

Fishing Tips: In this clear water, it is usually best to use light line and small lures such as jigs and plastic grubs. Look for bass on rock piles near deep water.
