Kemp's bass -- 1985
Florida bass -- 1981
Channel catfish -- 1981
Coopernose bluegill -- 1981
Blue catfish -- 1981
Redear sunfish -- 1981

Comments: This lake was one of the only lakes ever to open with a slot limit on largemouth bass. After being stocked with Florida bass the lake remained closed to fishing for several years and the opening crush of boating traffic is still legendary. The protective slot has helped maintain an excellent bass fishery in spite of this pressure.

Lake Records:

Species Pounds Inches Angler
Largemouth bass 16.17 26.00 Troy Johnson
Redear sunfish 1.33 11.50 Roger Dunagen

Fishing Tips: Flooded timber is a prime place to find bass after the spawn. Plastic worms and bucktail jigs, especially dark colors do the job.

Fishing Quality:

Largemouth bass--
Catfish--
Crappie--

Facilities: The power company provides one paved boat ramp. Camping is banned, but picnickers will find grills available.
