Location: Lies on Little Elkhart Creek 10 miles northwest of Crockett, off Farm Road 229 in Houston County.
Description: This scenic reservoir is surrounded by tall pines and East Texas hardwoods. The upper end of the lake holds stands of rotting timber and hydrilla grows in the shallows. The water is quite clear with a maximum depth of 40 feet.

Fishing Regulations: Largemouth bass -- 3 per day, none from 14 - 21 inches long. All others same as statewide.
Stocking History:
Comments: Acre for acre, this one of the premier trophy bass fisheries in the state. It also features outstanding springtime fishing for redear sunfish weighing almost one pound each. Hydrilla is receding, which opens the lake to boating but reduces habitat for game fish.

Fishing Tips: Plastic worms and jigs produce bass weighing more than 10 pounds in the flooded timber. Best lure colors are purple, blue or black.

Facilities: The public boat ramps are mediocre, but a private marina offers camping, picnicking and a lighted fishing pier.
