The Harford County Genealogical Society does not have its own library. We help the Historical Society to staff
the Genealogical Section of the library of the Historical Society of Harford
County, at the old Post Office Building, 143 N. Main St., Bel Air, Maryland.
The Genealogical Section is open on Thursdays, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00
P.M., and on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
Holdings of the Genealogical Section include:
-
A card file index to many of the tombstone inscriptions in Harford County cemeteries
-
A card file index to the obituaries appearing in the Bel Air Aegis (The Aegis itself is available
on microfilm at the Bel Air branch of the Harford County Library). 1857-1925 and 1967-present.
This is and ongoing project.
