Christian Education
As a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America we belief, teach, confess and worship the
resurrected Lord Jesus Christ as true God and truly human who lived and died to set us free.
Our
Educational programs include Sunday morning Bible classes for all ages, Vacation Bible School for all ages,
Catechism classes for junior high youth, Bible Study Circles for the Women of the ELCA using the resources of the Lutheran Women of Today, camping and
retreat opportunities. Members of our community have attended Via de Cristo, Lutheran Marriage
Encounter, and Promisekeepers weekends.
Christian Fellowship
Each month the members of the congrgation gather in fellowship events. They include meetings of the
Women of the ELCA, Lutheran Youth Organization for grades 6 - 12, and Lutheran Men in Mission. Other
opportunties are the annual Chicken Fry on the first Sunday of May, The Ice Cream Social in August when
the University of Texas Shakespeare student actors give previews of the theater season to come, and the
Christmas Play and Stew with carolling in the oudoor chapel under ancient live oak trees on the first
Saturday of December.
