I don't know if y'all ever read this, but I have to try. I am an Aggie,
Class of '99, and I've experienced something today that I pray no one ever
experiences. Yet from an eternal perspective the Lord has shown me so
many amazing things today --He is so victorious! We have been up at
bonfire
site praying since 5 this morning and didn't stop until around 9, after the
prayer meeting where thousands showed up praying and praising, and the
7:00 memorial service with 17,000 people who, after the ceremony was over,
all
joined arm and arm and sang "Amazing Grace." God is definitely getting
glory in this, but not without a large amount of refining on our campus.
Please keep our campus in your prayers. I've put down some specific
prayers that we have been praying all day if you are interested in
interceeding
with us. If you could pass this on to anyone that you can, any prayer
chains
or services you know of, please help us cover these people in prayer!
Specific prayer requests:
- that the families would be covered with love
- that everyone that knew them would not feel the bitterness that we know
they will feel but that they would RUN TO GOD with their confusion and
anger
- that the people that saw their friends die in their arms or when they
were jumping off stack would have their minds guarded and that satan would
not
have room to move in on their minds but that God would get glory from it
- that the rescue crews who have been working since 3 a.m. would be guarded
because they have seen some absolutely terrible things today
- that all the believers would SHINE SHINE SHINE and share Christ's love
- that we would use this opportunity to evangelize
- that satan would not be putting guilt in these aggie's hearts, any aggies
that just got off the stack thinking "why wasn't it me instead?" or even
or the people who made the center pole (a company an hour away) feeling
that
somehow it was their fault = guarded from the lies!
- that the media would be touched by this, that people seeing the news
broadcasts would want to know more about the hope that we have by seeing
s, that they would see the truth in this situation and that they would see
God instead of any anger or confusion
- that ABOVE ALL GOD RECEIVE GLORY FROM THIS!!!!
Thank you so much and God bless you and your ministry for serving our Lord
Jesus Christ!
